Rica and Aaron: The Prison Riot

  There’s no arguing that prison riots are terrible. But when innocent civilians get caught in such a tumultuous situation, the results could be much worse. Rica and Aaron experienced such a nightmare first hand.

     Aaron has been imprisoned for just a few days but it feels to him like he’s been there for ages. It was a miserable new experience. He was deprived of all the luxuries that he once enjoyed and worst of all, everything in that joint was awful – the food, the bathroom, the sleeping quarters, the attitude of his fellow inmates and everything else. There was nothing in that place that was worthy of a compliment.

                Aaron was really suffering inside. It’s a good thing his girlfriend, Rica, was there to help him during those dreadful times. She visits him regularly; giving him food, moral support and best of all she does her best to help him get out of there. She was also the one who chose Aaron’s legal counsel – making sure that she has the most competent attorney that would represent him in court. She chose one of her teachers in law school... which happened to be an excellent choice.

                The lawyer’s fees were quite pricy but he had a soft heart for some of his students. Since Rica was the one that pleaded for his aid, he agreed and made sure that she and her bf could afford his services. His legal acumen was astounding. Not only was he able to defend the rights of Aaron; he was also able to exploit a bunch of legal loop holes thereby paving a way for his freedom. Thanks to him, Aaron would already be out of his prison cell within one or two days. This made Rica giggle in delight.

                She couldn’t wait to see the look on her boyfriend’s face when she hears about it so she pays him a visit to deliver the good news. As soon as she gives it out to him, Aaron broke down in tears of joy. He hugged his gf and thanked her for everything that she has done. So, after that brief and cheerful moment, Aaron now got back to his cell. Rica, on the other hand, went to the ladies room to powder her nose before heading out of the prison cell. Little did they know that trouble is about to begin at that very moment.

                The fiasco started with a game of basketball between rival gangs within the prison compound. One of the players executed a foul move that injured the other. After it came a heated argument between the two which lead into a fist fight. Some inmates tried to break the brawl but the most of them simply trash talked the other side… and this made things even worse. Now, the fight between two individuals morphed into a bigger fight. The scuffle was first confined within the basketball court. But since rival gangs have now been involved, it grew larger to the extent that the whole compound is now in disarray. the prison guards tried to fix the situation but they were overrun by the inmates. So, the warden issued a lock down. The mechanical doors began to shut down to prevent dangerous inmates from escaping. It’s now a very dangerous situation for everyone inside.

                Unfortunately, Rica was still in the ladies room when the lockdown began. When she steps out, she saw that the inmates were already acting wildly and that the correctional officers have been overpowered. It was really scary so she ran towards the exit gates but she could not get out so she rushed towards Aaron’s cell instead. He was also locked inside but he could touch and talk to his dear Rica. “Babe, hold on to my hands. Hold on tight and don’t ever let go” he says as it was the only way for him to protect her at that moment. So, they clasped each other’s hands as they trembled in fear… and waited for police or military reinforcements to arrive.

                It was a dreadful moment. Some of the inmates were busy fighting each other while the others were also busy, trying their best to save their own skin. But the most perverted and desperate ones were able to see Rica and took advantage of the situation. Two inmates rushed towards her. One was grabbing her by her hips while the other one rips her upper garment, thereby exposing her breasts. They forcefully dragged her away from her lover though their hands were clasped tightly together. Immediately after this, a bunch of other inmates surrounded her.  

                This was such a bitter moment for Aaron. When he was in trouble, Rica did her best to save him. But now that she needs his help, he could not do anything. It was painful indeed. So this forced Aaron to beg to the god that he no longer believed in.  He made the sign of the cross, clasped his hands while he cried and prayed for his girlfriend’s safety and for reinforcements to come in. soon, police reinforcements arrived indeed. They arrived in time to quell the riot and prevent more casualties but for the lovers, they were much too late – Rica has already been raped.
